This lake front sprawling property could not be more perfect for large, multigenerational and kid friendly get aways. It's really better than the listing photos & descriptions. The location and views over Lake Michigan are jaw dropping. Don't plan to leave in the evenings --you might miss the Lake Michigan sunsets...

I think the photo of the stairs to the beach is misleading. It is only showing a small portion of the stair case. There are over 100 stairs and they are steep. We would have picked another rental had we known this because it made the beach too difficult to access for our older guests.

Take a step back in time in this historic town, with picturesque harbor views and boats coming and going from Lake Michigan.
• Step outside and you’ll be greeted by a wooded paradise. Take a bike ride or stroll along the famous Kal-Haven Trail. Connecting Kalamazoo and South Haven, this 35-mile trail is often considered one of the best in Michigan thanks to its smooth terrain and scenic views. If you’re seeking more adventure, rent an ATV nearby and hit the trails, or head out on the water for a memorable sunset sailing experience.

Everything felt spacious, never cramped, and very well set up. Outdoor spaces-beach, cliffside gazebo &Adirondacks, fenced lawn, deck, screened porch, huge play structure, basketball, & fire pit out front by the private lane back into the forest--something for everyone. Cute local goods market (Barden's) and Meijer an easy 8 minutes down Blue Start Hwy in South Haven, Saugatauk about 20 easy minute drive north, with bustling shops & galleries. Great communications and instructions from booking until checking out. We all had a great time.

The screened in porch off the kitchen also made it very easy and pest free to enjoy an evening outside. The fenced in yard made us feel comfortable to let the kids run around. Would highly recommend.

Great place for our family vacation. We loved being able to look out and see the lake and walk onto the beach.

We had the most beautiful stay! The house had everything a young family could need. We lived on the screened in porch and the private beach was 10/10! Can’t wait to bring our family back!
We had a nice weekend away here with family. Accessible first floor was perfect for our grandparents, and the fenced in backyard was great for our dog. The kitchen was great and spacious for all nine of us, and the screened porch was great for summer nights. There were a few things broken prior to our arrival, and the team did respond quickly to our concerns, and they apologized for not communicating it prior. A sink was cracked/unusable (there was a secondary one in that room, so it was fine), the screened in porch had a big tear, the door going out to the backyard was broken and almost locked us out, and the deck had some large gaps. They did quickly apologize for any and all issues, and they got a repairman out to come help for all things as quickly as possible. These little hiccups didn’t deter us from a great weekend at this beautiful place. We love the location and the house, and I could see us coming back next summer.

The house was lovely for our family getaway. The setting on the lake is beautiful. The rooms are well appointed and the bathrooms were clean. The kitchen worked well for cooking for large groups.
Great stay. Amazing views and access to the private beach. Beware the stairs are steep.
