We loved our stay in The Bird's Nest which was incredibly clean and comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen. It is in a quiet residential area (with occasional but light traffic) and just steps from town - a major plus on a busy Saturday. The hosts were very courteous and quick to respond. Had a great stay, good walkable location to downtown Saugatuk, apartment had everything we needed to cook which was great.

The condo was perfect for our family vacation – super clean, quite and comfortable. The location was extremely convenient, we loved walking to town for dinner and shopping. My daughter loved the pool and I loved that there was coffee provided! We will be back : )

The Bird's Nest is within a 5 minute walk to the heart of charming Downtown Saugatuck! The historic Saugatuck Chain Ferry, takes you across the Kalamazoo River and drops you at the foot of some wonderful hiking trails and Mt. Baldy, is about a 15 minute walk. Fares are $2/person each way.
The Interurban is a on call public transportation service that services Saugatuck/Douglas/Fennville. Simply call the number and request a pickup and drop off location. $1 fares each way!

📍Ideal, Walkable Location
- The Bird's Nest is located on a serene street in Saugatuck, just steps from the heart of downtown. Exit out of the back sliding doors and walk the grass to the right, you'll find a stairway that is a convenient shortcut to street level right in town. Enjoy strolling Butler Street and hitting all the restaurants and shops this quaint town has to offer. From Saugatuck's famous art galleries to locally roasted coffee, jam and jelly shops. There is no shortage of fabulous places to ignite the senses. Saugatuck allows open container in the "social district" off Butler and Water Streets. Enjoy a beverage from one of the local watering holes and feel free to bring it with you as you walk the riverfront.
- There is a plethora of wooded foot and bike trails that lead to the beach, where you can find gorgeous sunsets. Bring your own bikes or rent one nearby for easy access into town or just a 20 minute bike ride to the Saugatuck Dunes State Park. While there, you can hike straight through to the most beautiful sandy beaches. Take on the climb of the infamous Mount Baldhead and head down the other side on a dune that takes you straight to Oval Beach. The list of activities goes on and on!

- Bird's Nest offers parking for up to 2 cars. The first parking space is in front of the unit and the second is the nearest space on the opposite side of the driveway.
You and your guests will have access to the entire property. With our keyless entry, you can enjoy a flexible check-in any time after 4pm on your arrival date and guests can conveniently gain access via the smart lock.

This was our family of 5’s second time staying here and we love it! Modern and comfortable design, great beds and linens, outfitted kitchen with everything you need, relaxing outdoor spaces. The best part is the close proximity to downtown Saugatuck — everything is walkable and just a few minutes away.

We loved our stay here ! you get exactly what the pictures show you. It was clean well laid out with plenty of cooking supplies as well as spices and everything we needed. There were also plenty of towels for beach chairs, and an umbrella for our use . It’s only a few blocks to Main Street with tons of restaurants and shopping. The area was beautiful easy to get around we loved our stay.
This is our fourth time staying in this location… we’ve been through new owners and different management… but nothing can beat the walkability and location! We look forward to staying here every year. We love to walk downtown daily and being here for the fourth was extra special because we were on the parade route! We had a blast as always!
Beautiful condo that was spotlessly clean. Perfect location and very comfortable. The kids loved the heated pool! We would definitely come back! Hosts were very responsive and accommodating.

Wonderful, comfortable condo. Was exceptionally clean and exactly as described in listing. Appreciated the proximity to restaurants and shopping as well as the washer and dryer for laundry. Enjoyed the comfortable living room space and the TVs in the bedrooms. We had a baby chipmunk who visited the patio frequently.
