We had such a great time. The place was beautiful inside and out. Definitely worth it. When we first arrived, the fire alarm was beeping. I messaged them, and within the hour there was someone there to fix it. So very timely, and we’re thankful.

Crossbow Cabin is located in a rural mountain community off Scenic Highway in Rising Fawn, Georgia. Perched on Lookout Mountain, it offers sweeping bluff views and a peaceful setting for a mountain getaway. Cloudland Canyon State Park is about 7 minutes away for hiking and exploring, and the charming town of Trenton is about 11 minutes away. Enjoy easy day trips to Lookout Mountain attractions or head into downtown Chattanooga, about 30 minutes away, before returning to the quiet of the cabin.

The spacious porch is perfect for taking in the views, grilling dinner on the gas grill, and relaxing in the fresh mountain air.
The cabin is about 30 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, 7 minutes from Cloudland Canyon State Park, and 11 minutes from the charming town of Trenton, Georgia, with Rock City and Ruby Falls also a short drive away.
Home Layout
A spacious front porch wraps around to the back deck, where you’ll find spectacular mountain views and the hot tub. Inside, vaulted ceilings and natural light welcome you into the open-concept living and dining area and fully stocked kitchen.
The bedroom to the right of the kitchen has a queen-over-queen bunk bed and a private full bathroom. The bedroom to the left has a king bed and another private bathroom. Head upstairs past the mounted bear to the cozy loft, which has a queen sofa bed and board games. The upstairs bedroom has a king bed and an en-suite bathroom with a double vanity and a tub/shower combination. A laundry room off this bedroom has a washer and dryer for use during your stay.
The fireplace is decorative only and is not operational.

Had an amazing time. The pictures don’t do that view justice. It’s very private, you don’t feel like you have any neighbors at all. The house was in immaculate shape upon arrival, and had everything we really needed to bring in some groceries and grill up some nice dinners on the deck! When we finally did bring ourselves up to exploring the area, we found that we were a very short drive away from some of the most beautiful natural sceneries and landscapes that I have ever seen. If you stay here I highly recommend making the trip out to rock city, that place blew my mind. We also got to see ruby falls, and cloud land canyon. Both of which were also some pretty wild experiences. After all that hiking it was great to come back to soak in that hot tub! All in all we loved our stay, and loved the area! I highly recommend this place, and 100% plan to book here again!
Beautiful home with an incredible view—perfect for a large gathering. The house was exceptionally spacious, clean, and well maintained. The king-size beds were very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The back deck was our favorite spot to spend time with family and friends, and the fire pit made for cozy, enjoyable evenings. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this home.
The cabin was great for our family of six. Spacious and comfortable. Really enjoyed watching the sunset every night and soaking in the hot tub. It was very hot during our stay and we were so thankful for a great AC system!!! We loved how private the property was but yet still close to things to do.
We booked a last-minute getaway with River City Vacation Rentals and couldn’t have been happier! The cabin was perfect for our family of 5 — well stocked with everything we needed for the weekend. We especially appreciated the large container of Folgers and coffee filters (the little things matter!). We also had a blast learning a new family game from their selection which was such a fun bonus! The hot tub was spotless and the views were absolutely breathtaking. It was a quiet, fun weekend in a great location — less than 10 minutes to Cloudland, and several local restaurants nearby. We headed into Chattanooga for dinner on Friday night and breakfast Sunday morning which was about 30 minutes. I wouldn't hesitate to book again if in the area.
Overall the cabin was very nice. However I think the experience could be slightly improved for the price we paid. Ex) have firewood on site, better (and extra) towels, trash bags, etc., do not ask guests to take trash bags up to the front of the property, which is quite a hike. Overall though, very clean with a phenomenal view. We enjoyed our stay.
The view is worth the stay and we felt very comfortable for the visit. Beds were comfortable and amenities were as listed.
We really enjoyed our stay at Crossbow Cabin! We were visiting with a group of 6 for a bachelor weekend, and the location couldn't have been better -- great views from the property, and close by to several fun hiking options, breweries, and restuarants in Downtown Chattanooga while still being scenic and private. The cabin itself was as-described, clean, fully prepared for our arrival, and with a working and clean hot tub. My only minor complaint about the property is that we would have appreciated it being more fully stocked with home cleaning and kitchen supplies like trash bags, tin foil, laundry/dish detergent, paper towels, etc. Because all of these items were described as "starter amounts," it was unclear if we would have enough for our entire stay and so we had get all of these ourselves—and ultimately overbought. Given the price of the rental, it would have been appreciated if these items could have been supplied more in full. But all in all, a great rental and host!!
