And the hosts already responded quickly when we had questions. My kids didn’t want to leave!

Our family loved the bear sightings. While my son and I were at the playground, the bear climbed into a dumpster about 50 feet away looking for a snack. The next day, as I was starting my truck, he walked right along the retaining wall in front of us. On checkout day, with our luggage behind my truck and my wife’s SUV nearby, our 7-, 6-, and 19-month-old were sitting in the SUV with the hatch open while I packed. My wife was inside doing one last sweep when the bear snuck up, put his paws into the back of the SUV, and went after the food smell. I got the kids’ attention and chased him off, then he circled back and tried to get into my truck. The kids were chanting, “Fight the bear!” It ended up being the highlight of our trip. If you want a memorable stay and a chance to test your bravery and become your kids’ hero, book it!

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb hosted by Home Base. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described, making it easy to settle in and relax. The breathtaking views of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge while enjoying morning coffee off the balcony were truly the highlight of our trip. Everything we needed was provided, and communication with the host was quick and helpful throughout our stay. We would absolutely book with Home Base again for another Smoky Mountain getaway.
