The house is in a perfect mountain setting with the trees, birds, a little stream, and great porch. Our family enjoyed all the birds that came to eat and some chipmunks. Kitchen is well stocked including great pots and pans All the necessities are furnished. This is our second stay and hope to return next fall.

We have stayed several times now and love everything about the cottage and our dog loves having a large fenced in backyard! We love the location and could seat and enjoy the back porch all day! Thank you for a wonderful place to stay!
Loved the location and all the amenities of the house. Nice quiet neighborhood. Also perfect yard for bringing your dogs.

The master bedroom features a premium King bed, large flat screen smart TV, and an ensuite master bathroom with dual sinks. All rooms have been equipped with darkening shades and curtains for sleeping in if you prefer.
The second bedroom has a comfy Queen bed and shares a detached bathroom with the third bedroom.
The third bedroom has two Twin beds, perfect for larger groups. One extra fun feature of this house is the slide off the back porch, which enters the fenced in back yard!
Birdsong Cottage is nestled into a serene setting, perfectly located next to dozens of top local attractions and destinations (e.g. Lake Junaluska, Waynesville, Asheville, the Great Smoky Mountains, and many top eateries and shops)
• Set in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood 2 minutes from the Lake Junaluska golf course and 5 minutes from Lake Junaluska itself
• Overlooks the golf course and framed by creeks and trees. We highly recommend the stunning walk around the lake that you can access from your yard!
• Take out kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards available for rent and swim in the pool lakeside
• Enjoy a bike ride on the bike path that connects right at the main road
• Downtown Waynesville and all its cute shops and restaurants are 10 minutes away
• The bustling town of Asheville is less than 30 minutes away while Cherokee Resort & Casino is 35 minutes away
• Nearby hiking in Great Smoky Mountain National Park can also be accessed within 20 minutes of the property
• The ski mountain lifts (Cataloochee) are <30 minutes away for winter sports and activities

This place is a gem! If you want a peaceful and clean stay that is close to Lake Junaluska, then look no further than here. We loved our time and we are likely to return!
Wonderful cottage in a natural setting. Spent two days with family here. Kitchen had everything we needed and the gas grill was a plus. Cottage is decorated nicely and very comfortable. Everything was squeaky clean! Porch & backyard were the perfect setting. Hosts were great at communicating before and throughout our stay. We hope to stay here again in the future.
Excellent home! We stayed here to visit our daughter at WCU and it was the perfect location to visit serval towns in the area. The pictures don’t do the home justice, it’s beautiful and very clean. The backyard is a bird sanctuary. We hope to stay again someday.

We absolutely loved our stay at Birdsong Cottage and hope to visit again. Lake Junaluska is a beautiful location as well. My daughter loved feeding the wild birds and seeing the bunnies around the property. The house is comfortable and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The beds slept great.
This was an amazing place for our two young children. Beautiful backyard. I loved sitting out on the back patio, listening to the birds. Super convenient location to the lake and easy drive to Blue Ridge Parkway hikes!
Christy’s home was a haven away from home. Beautifully clean and modern, yet still warm and comfortable. The large open space made it easy to gather and feel at ease—especially during a stay that was not for leisure, but an extended period of work. The porch nook was such a special gift too. Sitting there while the rain fell, listening to the creek rustle and the birds sing, felt peaceful and restorative—so perfectly true to the cottage’s name. My dogs and I were also grateful for the fenced-in yard! What a blessing that was! Being able to let them romp freely through the grass, happy and carefree, made our stay even more comfortable and relaxed. We did come across some yellow-jacket nests, but Christy was wonderfully responsive and immediately took care of the issue. Thank you! Overall, thank you so much for opening your home. ...Finally, if I may please make a small suggestion: consider adding blinds to the kitchen door leading to the porch for a bit of added privacy.
House is very nice. Fenced yard is a plus with a very peaceful view. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking. Would be nice to have a second key inside the house for guest use.
