We had our annual childhood friends get together at this lovely house. We were all very impressed with the feel and layout of this house. We especially enjoyed the large kitchen with the amazing view of the backyard and lake. The backyard overlooking the lake was a picturesque setting for playing yard games like bags...
Really enjoyed the view of Lake Michigan especially the sunsets from the screened in porch.

A car is recommended for getting around South Haven and the surrounding area. Downtown, beaches, restaurants, and local attractions are all within a short drive.

A private ladder path leads directly down to the beach for easy access to the shoreline.

Beautiful view
We had our annual childhood friends get together at this lovely house. We were all very impressed with the feel and layout of this house. We especially enjoyed the large kitchen with the amazing view of the backyard and lake. The backyard overlooking the lake was a picturesque setting for playing yard games like bags. We spent most of our time enjoying the yard. In the evening watching the sunset and sitting around the fire pit was a perfect way to end the day.
Really enjoyed the view of Lake Michigan especially the sunsets from the screened in porch.

We had a great time the place had lot of things to do and it was well worth our money
Beautiful home, very responsive host, kitchen had everything we needed for large family meals, beautiful views and lovely private setting.
While we loved our stay, and felt that the hosts were very responsive and kind to us, there were a few things we felt could be improved. The doorknobs in two of the 3 bathrooms came off within the first hour of our arrival. Two people were stuck in the bathroom but did get out without need for additional assistance outside of the group staying in the home. The hosts were very apologetic and repaired them immediately, but the doorknobs in the dining area leading to the porch also fell off during our stay. Additionally the refrigerator had a significant leak in it, and our only options were to either cut off the water supply to the ice machine, which stopped working during the stay anyway, or continue placing towels in and around the fridge to deal with the leak, which is what we chose to do. The rooms were nice, but the beds were uncomfortable, universally, in all the rooms. Lastly the private beach access is severely limited due to a very steep climb up and down to the lake shore.
Just smaller than we thought for the number of bedrooms
We stayed at the bluff for our annual family get together. The younger kids did have fun exploring in the house and the backyard. We were excited about having a private beach access but was disappointed on how to get there. It was not a dutch ladder, more of loose sand hike, some were not able to enjoy the water.
This house was huge and the view was amazing! It was very charming & had character. We loved the kitchen, back porch & back yard so much! Home Base Lakeshore provided prompt & courteous communication as well. We enjoyed our first trip to South Haven & western Michigan towns and will return!
We absolutely LOVED our time at the house! It was large enough to fit us all. The house had such vintage charm but with all the modern conveniences. The kitchen had absolutely everything you could ever need and the Bluetooth speakers throughout the house were a bonus. The breathtaking view never got old. What a joy to watch the sunset from our own backyard.
