Creekside Retreat • Fire Pit

Quite possibly the cleanest place we have ever stayed! Great location near Asheville, black mountain, and the quiet little old fort. Would recommend!

Our family really enjoyed our cozy stay! Gorgeous views, especially with the sunrise over the mountains. We enjoyed a campfire by the creek every night we were there. :) The house was stocked with all the necessities. Thanks for everything!

Beautiful home in Old Fort? The home was as described and very clean! Fun swing in the front for our daughter! Hosts were very responsive and gave great recommendations for the area! Would love to visit again! Lots to explore!

Christy's home was very comfortable and was perfect for our family. We planned a long weekend trip specifically to Old Fort. Old Fort is growing their mountain biking scene and we wanted to check out the local trails such as the Gateway trails, Foothills Watershed and Lower Heartbreak. We also hiked Catawba Falls (less than 15 minutes away). Christy's home was private, with a nice yard and a mountain view in the distance. It was easy to find and didn't require navigating steep mountain roads and was located only about 9 minutes from downtown. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the deck listening to the creek. The home was more spacious than expected and I can see an extended family or even 2 small families being comfortable at the home. The interior felt very new and it was spotless. Extras like tea, coffee & creamer were nice touches.

3 friends and I went to Old fort for the weekend. Christy’s house was perfect. Exactly like the pictures, everything was new and clean! Great value! Host was great! Check in was seamless. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I wish we had more time there! The location is very private.

What a beautiful location and convenient place to stay for a weekend. There are fantastic views right from the deck and yard. The house was immaculate and had all the amenities one could ask for. Christy was a gracious host, reaching out in advance and immediately establishing rapport with us. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

We spent a month here and had a great experience from start to finish. The house and property were in excellent shape, offering a quiet, private setting that made it easy to settle in for a long-term stay. The trickling creek and fire pit on the property were a special touch that we really enjoyed. Christy made everything seamless; communication was easy and they were incredibly responsive whenever we reached out. That hospitality matched how well the house worked for us. As remote workers, having strong, reliable internet all week was a huge plus. The location was ideal for our downtime, giving us quick access to hiking/waterfalls, paddleboarding at Lake James, and day trips into the nearby mountain towns. It was the perfect balance of a functional workspace and a great outdoor base, and we would absolutely stay here again.

We had a great stay. The house was cute and very clean. It was a great jumping off point for visiting nearby towns and hikes. We really appreciated the few and simple instructions for check out.

This place was a wonderful find for me and my family. The home was nestled in the hills alongside a creek with darling views of the surrounding mountains. The home itself was clean, fresh and spotless, making it easy to move right in for our stay. The town is a brief drive away and has a unique story to tell. There was not much that could be walked to but thats not why I chose this location anyway. The yard was spacious, green, and welcoming on its own. The host was friendly, responsive, and proactive making sure we had everything we could need before we could need it. I would absolutely stay here again!

Our family had a lovely stay at Creekside Retreat! This home truly exceeded our expectations! The location was perfect—central to everything we wanted to do while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. The house was exceptionally clean and stocked with all the essentials and so much more. There was plenty of space both indoors and outdoors for everyone to spread out, relax, and enjoy their time together. We traveled with an older adult and two teenagers, and it was a hit with everyone. The teens especially loved exploring the creek, and the tree swing was definitely the highlight of our stay! It created some wonderful memories for our family. Christy was wonderful to work with—she was easy to communicate with, very responsive, and made the entire experience seamless from start to finish. We highly recommend this home and would absolutely stay here again!

The place was so clean, it has amenities that my kids really enjoy, the yard is big, the kids were running watching firefly’s, definitely be back.
