This home is located in a private residential neighborhood tucked away at the top of the street. You will enjoy nearby access to Lake Michigan and all the unsalted coast has to offer. Whether it’s spring, summer, fall and or winter, there is something for everyone to enjoy. From hiking and mountain biking to kayaking and paddle boarding, there are plenty of outdoor activities to choose from. And if you are visiting during the winter months, be sure to try out a wintery hike at the beach, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing along the lakeshore.
With streets made for biking, miles of sidewalks and paths this is an ideal spot to explore. Once you’re done exploring the outdoors for the day, experience a plethora of eateries and boutiques in either Downtown Holland or a short drive over to Saugatuck/Douglas. Enjoy being able to disconnect while still being a short drive into town and to the beaches of Lake Michigan.

Parking:
Hummingbird Beach House offers parking for up to 4 cars. There are two parking spots available in the garage and two in the driveway. Please be mindful to remain parked on concrete.
You will have access to the entire private property and grounds. With our keyless entry, you can enjoy a flexible check-in any time after the designated check-in time on your arrival date and guests can conveniently gain access via the smart lock.

But also a great yard and a deck with lovely plantings to enjoy those view. And while there are indeed many stairs to go down to the beach, they are very well built, with a clever railing and a place to rest midway. I'm in my 80's and had no trouble going down (and back up :) and enjoying the very private beach. The house itself is spacious ,very comfortable and thoughtfully designed. Having 3 master suites and a guest wing is wonderful. It's within 10-15 minute drive to Holland and Saugatuck. And the host was very responsive and helpful. We hope to come back next year.

Our grandkids were too young to appreciate the wonderful game room (and their parents too tired) but there was lots to do in case of inclement weather. The short list of restaurants was helpful and we highly recommend Restaurant Seventy Six - their short ribs and General Tso’s salmon were the best food of the trip.
Hummingbird Beach House is a beautiful, exceptionally spacious home with incredible Lake Michigan views and one of the best beaches we have experienced in Michigan. Our family had plenty of room, and the privacy, outdoor setting and sunsets were outstanding. Guests should know there are over 160 steps to the beach. This could make beach access difficult for older guests, small children or anyone with mobility concerns. Several maintenance items also need attention. The handheld showerhead did not work properly, some upstairs doors would not close, several bathroom switches and the exhaust fan did not work, a few family-room shades were inoperable, and the large exterior sliding doors were extremely difficult to open. Overall, this is an impressive property in a remarkable location. However, at more than $13,000 for five nights, we expected everything to be fully functional. With these items corrected and clearer disclosure of the stairs, it could easily be a five-star experience.

This house was perfect for our big family vacation. The views and the sunsets were spectacular!! The house had everything that we could possibly need! The steps down to the lake are no joke but well worth it and great exercise as well! The beds were comfortable with very nice linens in each room, including the pullouts. Will definitely go back!
Beautiful back porch with view of the lake. Quite a lot of steps down and then back up, to get to the lake. Could not do with small children or grandparents.
We loved our stay. We had three generations together celebrating two 80th birthdays. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and it was great that each had their own bath. The beach is gorgeous and the views are show-stopping. The stairs are no joke but we all got our exercise and very much appreciated the bench halfway. High marks!!

A magnificent place to spend the summer with friends and family. Very comfortable stay for 9 and had everything we needed.
This secluded Lake Michigan property completely blew us away! It truly feels like a luxury treehouse nestled in the canopy, offering jaw-dropping, elevated vistas of the water that were even better than expected. The atmosphere is utterly gorgeous, quiet, and peaceful—the perfect setup for our adult family to disconnect and relax. The home is incredibly spacious and well-appointed. We loved the comfortable furniture, super clean bathrooms and bedrooms, and plenty of space. As a family that loves to eat together, the kitchen was an absolute highlight. It is fully stocked with useful appliances and everything you could possibly need to cook great family meals. We spent our days on the private beach and hiking trails, and our evenings cooking, relaxing on the deck, and taking in the dramatic coastal scenery. We cannot wait for this to be an annual tradition.
We had a wonderful stay here during our Michigan trip! The home was clean, spacious, and exactly as described. The beds were really comfortable and the house was stocked with games, kitchenware, and towels/blankets for the beach. You get an amazing view of the sunset from the back porch. One recommendation — If you’re visiting during the warmer months, bring bug spray if you’re going to be outdoors as the area is forested. I’m used to being surrounded by skyscrapers, not trees, so this was something that completely slipped my mind. Overall, this place is stunning and I would absolutely recommend staying here!
