Had a great time, loved the fun decor and themed rooms!
This place was wonderful. I loved the themed decor that play’s tribute to Louisville author, athletes and activities. I read another review about airport noise but found by turning the thermostat fan to “On”, outside noise was negligible.
The Wild Side Retreat sits in Schnitzelburg, one of Louisville’s most character-filled neighborhoods, known for local bars, breweries, casual restaurants, and longtime neighborhood favorites. Germantown is right next door, with Monnik Beer Co., Check’s, Hauck’s Corner, The Post, and more within an easy walk. Churchill Downs, the Kentucky Expo Center, Downtown, NuLu, and Louisville’s bourbon attractions are all just minutes away.
Schnitzelburg and nearby Germantown are easy to explore on foot, with restaurants, breweries, bars, and neighborhood favorites within walking distance. Guest parking is available in the lot immediately to the left of the house, and rideshare is convenient for Churchill Downs, the Kentucky Expo Center, SDF Airport, Downtown, NuLu, and attractions across Louisville.

Guests have full private access to the home, fenced patio, hot tub, firepit, grill, outdoor dining area, and lounge space. Parking is easy, with a parking lot immediately to the left of the house and plenty of space for guests.
