This magical Maggie Valley Schoolhouse is one of a kind. Refurbished with handmade furniture, curated antiques and all of the comforting amenities of home, this Schoolhouse is the perfect mountain escape. Built in the 1800’s it was used as the first schoolhouse in the area. You will find treasures from its original days like a corn-cob floor patch, student names carved into the bead board wall and a bookshelf forged out of the original schoolhouse door. The area is serene, yet near to town.
The Schoolhouse boasts luxurious amenities like the handmade copper bathtub, perfect for a bubble bath and screened-in sitting porch which makes it effortless to spend the day relaxing and savoring the tranquility this space offers. Enjoy a cozy night-in by the fireplace watching movies and snacking on popcorn or easily head into town for dinner at one of Waynesville’s charming restaurants. Fall asleep listening to the rush of the stream that runs right through the backyard. Curl up in the breakfast nook for local coffee in the morning. Enjoy the serenity of the mountains, while being only 10 minutes to Lake Junaluska, Cataloochee Ski Mountain, Maggie Valley and downtown Waynesville.
For movie watching, DVD’s are stocked at the Schoolhouse for your movie nights and there is a RedBox just down the hill.
